HELL? YES!

In this age of so-called enlightenment, many have turned away from the sound doctrine taught in Scripture, and have reinvented their own version of scripture to fit their own apostate beliefs. I’ve heard comments from by many dealing with the subject of Hell, people don’t want to believe in an eternal place of punishment because it’s not a pleasant subject, but they all want to believe in heaven.

The Bible say’s in 2 Timothy 4:3 “For a time will come when they will not listen to wholesome teaching, but to gratify their own evil desires will surround themselves with teachers who teach to gratify their own evil desires, because their ears are itching so to be tickled,”

In many churches they preach about how God is only about love, and kindness. People have forgotten that above all else, God is Holy, and  intolerant of sin. Therefore, those who reject the true Gospel of Christ, will never enter into the Kingdom of God.

People say, that’s not fair! How could a loving God throw anyone into a place of eternal torment?  In God’s perspective, it is perfectly fair however, because he has given every person a lifetime here on earth to make a decision on where you want to spend eternity, Smoking, or Non-Smoking!

Were living in a day in ago prophesied about in Scripture, where men no longer will tolerate sound Biblical doctrine, nor will they repent, and seek the true Messiah. Pluralism, Universalism, and other heretical doctrines have crept into Christian churches. Some pastors have fallen for a batch of lies, and are now leading many down the wide road to Hell teaching things that are contrary to the Word of God. Questioning the very core of the Gospel message,  and causing many others to believe the same lies.

There are those within our churches in America that now teach that people from other faiths can gain access to heaven, even without Christ, or his Blood. That friends is pure heresy! These that teach such heresy need to be harshly dealt with  They are telling people that a Jesus will save everyone, even those who never accept him as their Savior.  There is a preacher of a very large mega-church in Texas that will NOT preach about sin, or Hell because these two topics are negative, and in his opinion may turn people off (Joel Osteen).

Rob Bell Pastor of a large evangelical church is Grandville Michigan, recently published a book entitled "Love Wins" in which he questions several key areas of Christian doctrine, namely the subject of Hell. Bell draws out his idea that "Jesus came to save us from God" and he basically says that even people who end up in Hell will have the opportunity to accept Christ, and maybe get out of Hell. He also states in his book that Jesus has a plan to redeem all people regardless of what they believe in this life. These teachings are not consistent with the Scripture, or with any Bible doctrine for that matter.

What is Hell anyway? according to Scripture it's a place of torment where the souls of people go who reject Jesus as their Savior. We see an example given in Scripture of a rich man who died, and found himself in Hell.

Luke 16:23-24 'In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom. “And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’

So Hell is very hot with real fire, and non-stop torment, and there is no relief of any kind. What else are we told in this passage?

Luke 16:26 - "And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us."

There is a chasm, or a great canyon between the place where God's people were held in peace and comfort, while the rich man was roasting in the flames of Hell.  Hell had at least two separate compartments in it, one was for evil men to be tormented in, and the other was for the souls of the Old Testament saints to live in for a time. When Christ died the Scripture tells us that he descended into Hell, and retrieved the souls of the Old Testament saints that were kept safe in Abraham's bosom.

We see that Hell is only a temporary home for the unregenerate souls, that a more permanent place in forthcoming, as we are shown in Revelation.

Revelation 20:13-15 - "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

The dead are resurrected one last time unto eternal judgment, and we see that even Hell (Hades), and death itself is cast into a much greater place of torment for all of eternity. We also see that individuals are cast into this horrible place of eternal separation as well, why you ask? Because they did not accept their pardon from God for their sin, and so they are not justified by Christ, and cannot enter the Holy place reserved for those who have trusted Jesus Christ as Savior.

Here is an explanation of the Gospel of Christ, and an invitation to receive the free gift of eternal life that only Christ can give you.

You must receive Yeshua (Jesus) as your Messiah to be freely justified by faith in order to enter heaven. God poured out the wrath he was saving for you on His precious Son Jesus at Calvary, Christ endured it all on our behalf, you must believe this is true and accept Him as Lord and Savior. If you refuse God’s free offer, one of these day’s find yourself in Hell, it will be all your fault, not his. Ask yourself this question; can I really afford to risk my eternal soul?

What is your soul really worth anyway? What could you possibly offer God in payment for your eternal soul? The answer is: NADA! NOTHING! There is nothing you or I can give, or do for God in order to secure our way to heaven. There are churches and whole denominations that teach good works unto salvation, but that is NOT what God teaches us in His Holy Word. The Holy Scripture clearly teaches that all that is required to secure a man’s Salvation is simple faith, faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross, nothing more, and nothing less.

It is your choice to make, and it is all based upon your own decision to believe and respond to the Gospel message, or not. It will be based upon what you did in your life with Jesus Christ, whether you choose him as personal Lord and Savior, or you did not, and if you did not then you will experience the mighty wrath of a Holy God all by yourself, there will be no place to run, and no place for you to hide.

Dear Friend, Christ alone shouldered all of God’s wrath against you and I at the cross, he was the ultimate sacrificial lamb, sacrificed once and for all your behalf. God’s Son still waits for you today with his arms open wide, he wants to hug you and welcome you into God’s family even today. Why do you wait? Why do you fail to respond to such a great expression of love? Receive him today!
